About the job
In this role you will have primary responsibility for developing the asset management brand and portfolio of work in the us marketThe target market consists of us generation, transmission, and distribution utilitiesAs project leader for client projects, your expertise will be relied on to act as a technical advisor and identify areas of opportunity to increase revenue and profit in the area of asset management within the power sectorYou will be responsible for:
Planning and developing client proposals including negotiation and administration of contracts, cost estimates, schedule and resource management. Managing positive client relationships both during business development stage and during projects execution Supervision and co-ordinate staff who participate in multidisciplinary projects. Actively market/sell the technology/services of kinectrics to ensure products remains viable and competitive. Participation in workshops and conferences and present high-quality articles for presentation and publication.
Position location: is flexible to anywhere in the united states, but candidates who are interested in this role must available for up to 25-50% business travel.
Essential knowledge, experience and qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an abet accredited schoolAdditional studies in business or economics a plus. 8-10 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with equipment risk assessment, health indices, equipment health assessment, economic analysis, capital allocation, performance management and the balance between risk and return. Working knowledge of ieee, iec standards and requirements. Strong understanding of utilities business and regulatory environment in the us. Strong knowledge in the construction and failure mechanisms of t&d electrical assets such as transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, arresters, switches, automation, insulated power cables, overhead line conductors and insulators. Knowledge of maintenance and condition assessment methodologies of t&d electrical assets, i.eElectrical, mechanical, chemical, and material test, as well as applicable acceptance criteria, guides, and standards. Proven ability to analyze large quantities of asset data and information, to generate statistics, determine asset condition, associated risks, and recommend actions. Familiarity with data management and analysis tools used by asset owners, as well as existing and emerging asset management platforms. Must have detailed knowledge and demonstrated capabilities in international approaches to utility asset management and a demonstrated track record in completing asset management projects within the power sector. Maintain up to date knowledge of requirements from regulatory bodies, as well as guidelines and standards related to asset management and their applicability to t&d asset owners. Must have experience in project management ranging in size of up to $1m Demonstrated ability to operate in the role of “consultant engineer” with a demonstrated ability to secure work. Broad background knowledge of transmission and distribution power systems is preferred.

Strong project management skills to effectively and rapidly coordinate/lead and mentor staff. Must have up to date knowledge and experience in project management methodologies and tools. Proficient ms office applications.
