As part of the kate farms sales operations & enablement team, the director, sales operations will direct resource deployment against kate farms sales and marketing objectives for the medical channel through the planning and execution of both strategic and tactical prioritiesIn collaboration across sales leadership, medical marketing, human resources, finance and business operations, this role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency and effective execution across the medical sales force.
This senior leader will lead our medical sales operations initiatives on field force structure, workload assessments, territory alignments, medical channel segmentation, targeting, call planning, samples program and performance reportingThe critical success factor for the role will be the ability to broker strong working relationships across the sales organization, as well as, with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Essential job duties and responsibilites
Leads planning and implementation of all processes, systems and solutions that will maximize the medical sales force resource deployment and workload capabilities.
Works across internal stakeholder teams to align sales deployment planning and execution with company goals and objectives, medical marketing strategy and within set budget.
Champion to identify and execute optimal sales force structure & territory alignment, including future expansion strategy, scenario development and financial planning.
Manages all aspects of territory alignment processes and systems, including javelin territory designer system administration, veeva crm territory alignment and cross-sales team alignment synergy.
Partners with marketing and business operations on medical channel segmentation, value-based model development, targeting strategies, in-market testing, pilot programs, marketing mix models, and assists with driving innovation across omni-channel, artificial intelligence and next best action initiatives to help drive sales success.
Leads the development of innovative strategies that achieve continuous improvement of veeva crm application that will drive sales team effectiveness with territory account management, call plan execution, call recording and targeting effectiveness.
Collaborates with cross-functional team on deployment and analysis of kate farms robust sampling program.
Provides direction on reasoned and complex analytical solutions to address business and operational issues related to sales structure and capacity of medical sales force.
Owns targeting and alignment vendor management relationships, project direction and budget.
Create monthly performance insights for sales leadership that support evaluation of field execution and performance against quarterly goals and objectives.
Conduct quantitative analysis including, but not limited to, roi, trending, identification and assessment of opportunity and risk, forecasting, regressions, correlation, and probability modeling planning.
Collaborates with incentive compensation manager to guide data source management, qvc program, goal setting, contests and reporting metrics that drive correlation between field execution and sales performance.
Leads sales budget management process, as well as quarterly and annual business planning.
Minimum job requirements
Bs / ba requiredMba preferred.
10+ years relevant work experience, preferably in sales deployment support.
Extensive understanding of the sales and marketing interdependencies to foster strategic and tactical success.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data that drive actionable plans, including communicating those plans across all levels of the organization.
Experience with project management, analytics, segmentation modeling and system mapping, preferably in a sales resource deployment.
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and teams in a complex, fast-paced, continuous changing environment to deliver value-added results with aggressive timelines.
High familiarity with sales deployment tools and data stack, e.g., salesforce, veeva, powerbi, territory alignment (alignmix, jtd, etc.).
Must demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret complex problems / data gathered from a variety of sources and through effective decision-making and planning, deliver superior business solutions.
Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
Proven track record of cross-matrix team leadership and ability to work effectively within a team.
Advanced microsoft office application knowledge and experience, sas/sql experience a plus.
Experience managing external professional service partners that develop integrated solutions for sales resource deployment.
Ability to influence at all levels, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
Motivated self-starter approach with a proactive attitude, initiative, and drive.
