The multi-media/graphic design specialist will utilize several software suites to accomplish assigned tasksAdditionally, the candidate may work with a webmaster to perform limited front-end web development and coordination with web developers, as well as provide multimedia support in such capacities as photography, social media coverage of events, and social media engagement analysisResponsibilities:
Duties will include interpreting instructions and feedback to modify, revise, produce, and transform graphics, images and other multimedia content for the purposes of publications, materials, social media, web design, presentations and where otherwise relevant.
Creating graphics that support internal and external communications through inter/intranets, e-mail and websites.
Offer graphic design strategies, solutions and alternatives based on customer input for (but not limited to) logos, product brochures, catalogs, product packaging, training materials, forms, fliers, and web design.
Familiarity in pr, social media, communications, digital media, or related field.
Be able to communicate with webmaster with appropriate understanding of (html, css, indesign, and dreamweaver) in order to transpose designs to web.
Expert knowledge of adobe creative suite.
Thorough understanding of tools, current technology, trends and design principles and how they may apply in public health.
Proficient in microsoft word, outlook, excel, and adobe reader/writer.
Able to think strategically and work independently, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills, including experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Expert user and active explorer of technology.
Able to work in a team setting.
Experience in mobile design and development valued.
Ability to physically assist in a video production environment, working collaboratively with instructional staff.
Ability to record, edit, organize, and compress analog and digital audio, video, and graphic content.
Act as producer, director, and developer on multimedia projects and consult with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors as needed
Design branded multimedia assets and interactive elearning experiences for internal or external audiences
Edit videos from concept to finished project and all the work entailed in-between
Maintain, update, and improve multimedia content
Well-versed in microsoft office products
Demonstrated experience applying multi-browser and multi-platform development including the transformation of desktop data to mobile devices (ios and/or android).
Demonstrated experience conveying the results of quality assurance and visual communication techniques verbally and/or in written communications.
The ability to prioritize quickly and move forward confidently without having all the desired informationThe applicant must have comfort with ambiguity and functioning productively when important information is not known.
Bachelor`s degree in arts or related field required or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in related fields.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in front-end web design, web-based applications, and multimedia, preferably with public health applications preferred
Photo editing experience preferred
Experience with 508 compliance strongly preferred
