The future of education is here and we are eager to work alongside those that want to make a positive impact and inspire change in the world around themThe account manager is primarily responsible for the management and business performance of kaplan’s contracted, on-going institutional businessesThe account manager is the primary architect and decision-maker in all matters of significance related to the implementation, operation, and continuity of these business linesAccount managers develop strategies for retaining and growing assigned business lines and function in the front line role between the client and kaplanPrimary responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic territory management plan aligned to territory goals and objectives
Function as primary contact and kaplan decision-maker in all post-contract client matters
Establish and maintain a client feedback process to understand client needs and perception of kaplan as a partner/provider
Use partner feedback as well as an in-depth understanding of client business models, kaplan’s market position and offerings, as well as up to date industry trends to make decisions about territory strategy, product implementation, and marketing/sales opportunity
Conduct client-facing activities to effectively and independently solve client problems, drive partnership retention and expansion for assigned accounts in alignment with account team and territory targets/goals
Nurture established and develop new relationships with client decision-makers to position kaplan’s solutions and services after the initial sale/agreement is complete
Through research and interactions with clients, maintain an in-depth understanding of client business model, goals, org structure, and relevant industry insights
Using in-depth knowledge of kaplan’s portfolio of products, lead clients in solving key issues and in achieving desired outcomes in their business
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to day-to-day activities and client scenarios
Minimum qualifications
Ba or bs
3+ years experience
Familiarity with crm applications
Preferred experience in strategic planning, sales, or client relationship management
