Remote program manager duties include but not limited to:
This position is responsible for the performance of all technical and logistics support activities required to successfully meet all statement of work (sow) requirements as defined in customer contract documentation and/or internal program documentationThe position will support the t55 uk chinook engine support agreement (cesa) repair and overhaul services programThis position will serve as the primary interface between honeywell and the customer who will manage technical issues, technical publications, training, depot activities, and aftermarket support of the t55 enginePosition will coordinate with customer support program managers (cspm), field service engineers (fse), program managers, engineering and customers to ensure that the product is supported according to schedule.
Up to 30% travel required some which will be international travel.
Manage maintenance tasks and coordination of best commercial practices with honeywell phx r&o facility.
Program planning to achieve t55 engine and component availability with monthly reporting.
Manage technical issues, technical publications, training, depot activities, and aftermarket support of the t55 engine.
Manage mrb to determine if new repair opportunities may be developed to improve margins for flat rate repairsThrough engineering review determine if reject criteria is correct to technical requirements.
Development of sow/contract requirements for new t55 engine proposals.
Engage with engineering teams on improvements based on shop findings rejection dataDevelop actions and drive improvement projects to completionKpi’s identified for improvements are cost savings, reliability improvement, and margins on flat rate repairs.
Minimize impact of workscope changes to shop floor and production schedule.
Communicate workscope changes to customer with objective evidence iaw sow and technical data.
Facilitate local engineering review committees.
Provide reports and briefings to customers.
Provided technical solutions to a wide variety of complex problems using innovative and practical approaches that are in direct line with customer objectives.
Manage engineering issues pertaining to boeing uk and the modGuide a diverse team in supporting customer needs.
Qualifications:
Us citizen
Bs / ba engineering, sciences, or other related program field and at least 8 years of directly related experience.
In lieu of formal education, 12 years of directly related experience.
Government contracting and defense aftermarket experience preferred
Ability to quickly identify and address critical issues of a complex program and lead team to develop action plan to improve performance
Process-improvement (e.g., six sigma greenbelt) trained/certified preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated skills with sap system
Knowledge of shop process for strip down / build of t55 engines and components.
Technically proficient on manuals/drawings/sb’s for t55 engine.
Familiar with honeywell policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
