Role and responsibilities:
We seek a highly dynamic, highly skilled, passionate, and experienced data analyst for a fast-paced scientific and regulatory industry environmentThis position will support product integrity and toxicology functions associated with current products and development of new technologies consistent with juul current growth, innovation and harm reduction platforms, and provide support for efforts such as regulatory submissions.
Reporting to the product integrity & toxicology program lead, the data analyst will support the data, review, analysis, and reporting for juul labs toxicology related studies, including both in vitro and in vivo studiesThis is a technical, cross-functional scientific position that does not include any lab work or in-lab timeThe successful candidate will:
Demonstrate expertise and skill at sifting through study data to assure proper established requirements are applied to comply with regulatory/internal requirements.
Ability to qc, analyze, interpret, and develop reports for toxicology studies from vendor datasets.
Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, research-oriented team with concurrent projects.
Communicate regularly with peers and leadership in toxicology and regulatory testing.
Support study efforts through preparing data for processing by organizing information, checking for inaccuracies, and providing statistical and nonstatistical results using charts, bullets, and graphs.
Provide support project management support and summarize study findings from diverse in vivo and in vitro toxicology studies.
Assist with preparation and/or review of materials supporting regulatory submissions.
Personal and professional qualifications:
0-3 years industry experience
Experience understanding, reviewing and graphing toxicology study datasets with multiple test articles and test parameters
Experience reviewing study report data from in vitro and in vivo studiesDemonstrated time-management skills
Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication skills
Experience in electronic nicotine delivery systems (ends)/tobacco industry is a plus
Note: this is not an in-lab position, but previous lab experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong scientific writing skills
Ability to understand and communicate science at high / medium / low level of detail to diverse audiences with different levels of scientific understanding
High emotional intelligence and teamwork skills
Ability to quickly synthesize new information and to self-learn on background scientific information in a range of disciplines ranging from in vitro assays and toxicology to human physiology, pharmacokinetics, and behavioral studies / epidemiology.
Sense of scientific curiosity
Engagement with the mission and opportunity to displace combusted cigarettes in a global population of 1b adult smokers.
Nice to have:

Experience with nicotine regulatory filings
Education:
Bs, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, toxicology, or related field
