Jci is recruiting for an associate director – janssen clinical innovation leader, location is flexible and inclusive of the following locations; titusville nj, la jolla sd, beerse bel or remote based locations proximal to the aforementioned locations.
The associate director, janssen clinical innovation project lead will be responsible for:
Leading, designing and driving transformational demonstration projects in, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in areas such as digital health, patient & site centricity, non-conventional trial methods, real-world evidence and data sciencesThese projects will identify and test novel approaches, processes, technologies and best practices that have the potential to reduce trial set up and execution cycle times, and/or reduce cost; generate conclusive results to make the business case for scale-up or adoption of these new methods.
Identifying, evaluating (designing kpis to measure outcomes and success) and creating recommendations for implementing new clinical innovation opportunities to improve clinical operations productivity and site & patient engagement.
Proactively identifying potential roadblocks and taking a solutions-driven approach for complex and undefined projects that may not be addressed by existing policies, procedures, or protocols.
Providing leadership and project management for multiple initiatives simultaneously
In close collaboration with the internal key stakeholders, identify potential pilot studies
Co-leading, with the future business owner, change management to ensure successful implementation in the broader organization
Collaborating with external partners/academic institutions to co-develop and drive innovative clinical development solutions.
The successful candidate will be a forward-thinker, able to imagine the future of clinical research and design and execute informative demonstration projects to prepare janssen for this futureThe candidate will have understanding of the clinical research environment and a track record of successfully initiating and driving complex projects to completionA global mindset with proven ability to partner cross-culturally and cross-functionally, to develop strong collaborations and to inspire trust across the organization and at all levels is essentialCandidate must be comfortable exploring new spaces where there is little or no experience or existing guidelines to follow.
A bachelors’ degree is required; master’s degree/graduate degree in business or life sciences is highly preferred; a minimum of 8 or more years of total business experience is required as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical development environment (pharmaceutical, medical device, cro or other clinical development service organization) is required.
Candidate must be a self-starter with strong results orientation, who can operate independently and can navigate complex, matrix environments;
Experience executing complex projects from start to finish;
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to partner and influence without authority with leaders at all levels globally and locally
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to persuade, negotiate, and moderate conflict
