As part of the solidworks technical support team, this role is responsible for providing frontline support to customers using solidworks, cam and 3dexperience products and services.
Primary responsibilities
Obtaining relevant certifications in solidworks, and related products
Developing and writing articles for company newsletter, generating additional technical content including videos, blog posts and white papers, and determining or preparing documentation for technical skills for new solidworks releases
Extensive use of oracle netsuite and the solidworks vrc
Limited travel only required for visiting clients on occasion to provide additional or escalated on-site support
Assist clients in applying and troubleshooting solidworks and cam tools in their design/development, analysis, and manufacturing tasks
Ensure customers are successfully engaged and utilizing solidworks and cam and related products through telephone, web, email, and onsite communication
Exercise of problem-solving skills and processes to assist our clients
Determining and setting priority levels on customer issues to ensure timely and effective responses
Qualifications & requirements
Position can be remote (home office based).
8:00 am 5:00 pm eastern time work hours; 40 - 44 hours weekly.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with solidworks and solidworks cam.
Minimum 3-year engineering technology or similar trade experience.
Must have strong communication skills: verbal, written and listening.
Identify opportunities for javelin to provide additional services or software to existing customers.
Excellent customer relations ability required.
Strong pc and network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
Experienced with latest microsoft windows required.
Experience with azure and/or aws an asset.
Experience providing tech support services an asset.
Proficient with microsoft office365 platform and desktop apps, i.eWord, outlook, excel, to do, onedrive, sharepoint, and powerpoint a significant asset.
Must have a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
Bilingual - french an asset.
Ability to travel to the united states of america (for training).
