Under general supervision of the manager, hr operations support (os), the hr os representative delivers tier one employee support on various hr subject mattersThe individual responds to employee inquiries and leadership requests, identifies issues and escalates as appropriateThe hr os representative provides technical, transactional, communication and systems support to all employees, hr delivery and communities of expertise (coe)The hr os representative monitors tickets in global people services (servicenow), answers phone calls and as needed distributes action items to team members while providing accurate, reliable and timely response to internal and external customersThis position is responsible for performing the duties with minimal supervision and instruction and a high degree of accuracy with superior customer service skills.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Handling and coordination of all aspects of the employee life-cycle such as hiring, terminations, pay changes and transfers
Address a wide range of employee questions in a timely and complete manner
Provide guidance on multi-state laws, regulatory requirements and compliance rules
Process changes to health benefits, retirement and tuition
Process transactional and operational data activities
Respond to and resolve inbound tickets, calls, emails and walk ins from employees and external customers
Administer hr policies and procedures that cover multiple hr areas
Maintain confidentiality of department and employee information according to established practices
Ability to organize and prioritize workload
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Adhere to metrics and service level agreements (slas) where applicable
Perform other duties and tasks, as required.
Regularly scans knowledge to ensure relevant content is readily available to our employees
Here’s what you’ll need:
Associates degree or equivalent experience plus 2-4 years related experience or training
2 years customer service experience
Solid understanding of various software/hardware
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work well across teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, employees and vendors
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to details
Resourceful, organizationally savvy, agile
Physical requirements of position: position will require heavy use of computing systemsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of timePosition may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screenMust have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient mannerNo strenuous physical activity required.
Work environment: generally an office environmentAn inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting)Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of managementNo hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.
Equipment and machines: ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work-related tools as required.
Attendance: regular hours will be monday – friday 8:00am – 5:00pmRegular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetingsPunctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlinesMust exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
