When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow, building innovative technologies into every project we manage and every community we serveWe’re looking for a mid-level hydrogeologist/geologist or environmental scientist to support site characterization and remediation projects for oil & gas and rail clients.
Based in the us, you’ll support the delivery of environmental projects by collecting environmental data in the field and working in office settings, supporting technical analysis and technical report writing activitiesWe’ll rely on you to maintain strong relationships with internal staff and clientsYou’ll be mentored by experienced staff who will help you grow your environmental consulting career at a place like no otherWe’re seeking an innovator, ready to utilize the most recent characterization and analysis techniques and creativity in remedial design and regulator strategyWhile most projects will be in the us and canada, there may also be global opportunities for project support.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor`s degree in geology or hydrogeology, environmental engineer, environmental science or a related field
Professional work experience including experience with various media (e.g., soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water and sediment) investigations, data assessments and evaluations, and remediation technologies
Experience working with environmental data (at least one of the following: chemistry, fluid levels, laboratory), soil parameters (at least two of the following: uscs classification, grain size analysis, hydraulic soil properties)
Professional experience writing reports (text, table, and figure generation)
Project specific experience related to napl with industrial clients including projects where an lnapl mobility evaluation was performed and site conceptual model was developed
Ability to work in the field and travel 30-50%.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Master’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geology or other closely related technical degree
Professional engineer, geologist or project management professional (p.e., p.g, or pmp) or ability to obtain and maintain
Experience with remote site data collection / visualization, drone related data collection
Taken coursework in: geodynamics, mineralogy/petrology, physics, geochronology, geophysics, geographic information systems, sedimentology and stratigraphy, hydrogeology, geophysical exploration, math (multivariable calculus, stats and probability), and/or bioremediation
Laboratory experience (mass spectrometers, geotechnical soils laboratory, laser diffraction gsa analysis, analytical chemistry labs, gas chromatography)
Experience working with multiphase flow
Experience with advance field instruments (uvost, targost, ec, mip, transducers, multiparameter probes, scada systems, gas meters, and geophysical tools)
Experience using mapping software (e.g., gis, surfer, evs), modeling software (e.g., modflow, aqtesolv) and other automation programming (e.g., python, r, matlab)
