Jackbox is a small game studio (~65 people) best known for the jackbox party pack franchise: a set of five social party games released every fallSince 2014, our games-like quiplash, drawful, and trivia murder party- have been featured on the tonight show with jimmy fallon, by a variety of media outlets from the washington post to polygon, and in living rooms and finished basements across the world.

What`s the job?
A senior localization producer is a member of the international team that works closely with internal game teams and other producers to drive globalization through all phases of development from concept to releaseThis role will be responsible for coordinating and owning every localization and lqa process step, working to deliver product on schedule while serving as a champion for our globalization effortsFunctionally they will also help the international team plan an achievable scope of work, meet milestones and deadlines, communicate and document decisions, problems, or new information transparently, and ultimately deliver a product everyone is proud ofThe senior localization producer will continually identify gaps to refine and optimize our localization pipeline, ensuring our efforts are increasingly efficient and serve the broader priorities of jackbox and its international product strategy.
Responsibilities
Coordinate localization between our internal teams and external partners, owning all aspects of the translation management system including monitoring and managing the translation workflow.
Work with game teams to gather contextual information, creating documentation and audio / video samples to provide it to our localization partners for all translation and transcreation jobs.
Work with our localization partners to create, implement and maintain lqa test plans.
Support external localization and lqa partners by reviewing work and providing feedback.
Evangelize best practices, contribute to strategic decisions, and proactively problem solve as a localization subject matter expert.
Work with marketing to coordinate localization of store copy, achievements, trailer scripts, and promotional materials.
Ensure effective collaboration between the international department, game teams, production, qa and marketing.
Communicate frequently with the international and production teams regarding scope of work, project status, key issues, risks, opportunities, and team health.
Discuss bottlenecks, blockers, or impediments impacting the team, and assist in resolving them.
Plan and run effective meetings with clear agendas and conversations that stay on track.
Coach the team through planning, organization, and communication.
Ideal candidates...
Have professional experience in globalization, including localization and transcreation in game/software development
Have experience working with translation management softwarePrior experience with memoq is a plus
Have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience on an agile/scrum team
Are a flexible, motivated, self-starter, and continuous learner; enthusiastic and goal-oriented, they pro-actively resolve ambiguity and loose-ends
Are organized and process-oriented
Are a mindful and effective communicatorYou should understand the concept of being a “servant-leader” and be skilled at facilitating communication
Are energized by problem-solving and critical thinking
Have experience with jira or another task management/defect tracking tool
