Business development director, insurance accounts

Business development director, insurance accounts for an established leading company in construction advisory services, property damage consulting, forensic architectural & engineering services, environmental, health & safety services, forensic accounting & economics, surety, construction advisory and equipmentPosition will report directly to the vice president of business development.
Position and responsibilities
To support global account growth across all j.sHeld practices listed below:
Forensic architecture and engineering
Environmental health & safety
Forensic accounting and economics
Grow revenue and brand awareness with new and existing insurance accounts.
Update and maintain client accounts to preserve existing business.
Identify opportunities to grow business with existing accounts.
Ability to collect, track, and analyze data and trends.
Forecasts and track client account metrics.
Set and monitor revenue goals for the account.
Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals.
Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, local industry events & meetings, and education seminars.
Plan and execute hospitality and educational outreach events.
Maintain crm database of all business development activities.
Needs to operate as the point of contact for assigned accounts and present an incorporated solution-centered approach to clients.
Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met.
Service multiple clients concurrently, while meeting deadlines.
Develop and implement business plans to stimulate product revenue, deployment and support strategies to effectively lead team of internal resources.
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (executive level leadership, practice group leaders, and marketing/business development colleagues), in creating and executing a strategic business development plan designed to successfully achieve account revenue goals.
Geographic market focus
National or global varying on the accounts.
Essential skills and qualifications
College degree and 10+years of professional sales or account mgmtExperience.
Proven track record of success in developing, maintaining, and expanding client base as an account manager.
Insurance industry experience required.
In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics.
Outstanding listening, communication, interpersonal and leadership.
Must have excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational
Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
Must be able to travel.
Technical proficient in microsoft office 365 and ability to work with multiple technological platforms.
Integrity- possess strong character in all internal and external relationships.
Honesty- transparent in dealings with all clients, team members and prospects.
Persuasiveness- ability to work past roadblocks and achieve skills.
Initiative- recognize opportunity and take - action.
