Busy, growing international interior designe firm seeks talented designer/project manager who is motivated, organized and reliable, for work on various exciting projects, ranging in scale and complexityThe principal designer/owner is based between paris, france and nyc so this is an excellent position for someone who is ready to take on ownership of projects under principals lead as there is a lot of room for autonomy and ability to experience all aspects of a design project from start to finish.
Responsibilities: i am looking for a self starting team player who is organized, with excellent communication skills, graphic abilities, problem-solving skills with required proficiency in autocad, photoshop and illustratorSketchup and rendering skills is a plus+
Support principals in the design development of projects
Manage weekly client, architect/contractor correspondence
Schedule/attend site meetings as project development requires
Provide drawings and specifications for all custom built pieces and maintain quality inspections at vendors
Support principal in maintaining project schedules and deadlines with company calendar and trello
Manage multiple projects at the same time
Oversee: entering specifications in projects, track orders, issue po’s
Resource concepts, materials, inspiration
Shop for clients
Develop new vendors and resources
Attend periodic industry events to maintain awareness
Organise basic accounting and monthly billing of clients
Experience: 2+/- years experience working within an interior design or architecture firm and familiarity with most aspects of the process of a project start to finishFrom ffe to construction management.
Location: remote based but looking for a candidate with the ability to travel (drivers license required) to various job sites in nyc, hamptons, nj and surrounding areas.
Job type: part time, but with the intention of growing to full time as the firm expands
