We’re looking for an experienced presales engineer with a passion for technology and helping customers on our federal civilian teamAs a presales engineer you will work collaboratively with our engineering teams to creatively craft solutions for our customersYou will be exposed to a wide array of technologies and will be asked to continuously learn new technologiesTo be successful, you must have a strong attention to detail, think outside the box, enjoy problem solving, operate with a sense of urgency, and have a passion for a successful future career in sales engineeringThis is a remote position based in the mid-atlantic region, preferably in the dc metro area.
What you’ll do:
Work in concert with our account manager to building consultative relationships and providing it solutions and professional services to customer base
Focus on technical innovative presales solutions to include: cloud, collaboration, security, data center, networking mobility & end user devices, managed services and digital/iot transformation
Work as a trusted advisor to provide leadership in knowledge of key products, solutions and partners
Develops proposals and sows, assisting account teams in effectively packaging, pricing, and presenting solution to customer
Validation and creation of bill of materials from leading oems using appropriate configuration tools
Provide technical assistance to customers and account teams
Obtain customer integration service needs, challenges and product requirements to develop business cases to drive solutions
Understand and communicate it strategy, vision based on iron bow’s capabilities to meet customers technical requirements
What we need in you:
Presales engineering with a broad understanding of technology and the ability to consult with the customer regarding cloud, collaboration, security, data center, networking mobility & end user devices, managed services and digital/iot transformation
Ability to develop area of specialization
Lead the development of solutions to meet those requirements
Experience with oem hardware configuration tools
Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, products line specifications, performance criteria and applications
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member, and assume a leadership role for the team
Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills
Experience with other lead oems
Relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology areas to drive business outcomes
Comfortable working in a team environment with high performing employees and collaborate with internal technical experts to develop and drive solutions
Us citizenship is required
Typically requires bs/ba (ee/cs) or equivalent years of experience
10+ years-related experience
Cisco certifications are a plus; ccnp or higher
Health human services (hhs) or us treasury experience is highly desired
