Ruby on rails not required, open to similar frameworksNeed these 2 people to complement each other and the rest of the teamAlso have some java and python codeThese roles will help them scale software and productizePrefer a sr level but would be open to a mid-level ready to go into a sr level roleMust be a hands-on coderPeople with experience at a small company/ start-up as well as large company experienceThis way they understand both the frantic nature of a start-up as well as how large companies organize their businessUnix command line with sql is preferredThis job will require someone who has a well-rounded it foundation, who can troubleshoot a myriad of questions from network to application issues and can translate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format.Minimum qualifications / skills: ba or bs in computer science or a related field, or related experience technology oriented individual with a demonstrated capacity for problem solving and technological implementation ability to collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality advanced technical understanding of roles, responsibilities, and general business practices must-haves extensive experience with ruby on rails or a similar web framework extensive experience with api design with json, rest experience with integrated testing e.gRspec designing for high availability, high performance systems strong knowledge of sql and relational databases working knowledge of unix/linux nice-to-haves experience with more than one language or platform experience with aws or other cloud provider for running serverless, low-ops systems experience with docker or other containers experience with redis as caching layer experience with elasticsearch working knowledge of continuous integration e.gJenkins bonus areas python javascript / typescript security / authentication / oauth machine learning ad tech mobile
