Overview: idc is seeking a global account manager (avp, sales) who will focus on selling idc research subscriptions, data products, and consulting engagements to large global accounts.
The global account manager (avp, sales) will be located in idc`s san mateo, ca office or an approved west coast location.

Responsibilities:
The global account manager (avp, sales) role involves global sales responsibility across all idc product categories, syndicated and custom, for some of idc’s largest major global accounts with a defined sales quota
As a member of a collaborative team, the global account manager (avp, sales) will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of idc products and services, as well as building strong relationships with analysts and consulting directors across idc
Understand client’s business strategy, drivers, goals, and initiatives and translate these into selling opportunities
Manage large, complex annual contracts which includes both new business development and a renewal base
Establish and maintain executive relationships with client to become the trusted advisor across business units
Account management with the outcome of increased customer satisfaction and an increase in retention and account growth
Manage forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Qualifications:
15+ years of outside sales experience within the technology, services, or research industry including account development and management
Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen
Ability to prospect and manage senior level relationships within large global technology companies
Proficient in global account planning across a broad range of product offerings
Experience in communicating value to customers at the highest levels
Demonstrated high proficiency in all areas of the sales process from prospecting to close
Consistent record of sales overachievement
Lifelong learner with a growth mindset
Ba/bs or equivalent experience; mba preferred
Approximate 20% travel (post-covid)
