Full job description
Identify, enlist, develop, and manage local distributors.
Make joint sales calls with assigned distributors.
Develop call plans for self and for distributors.
Interact with a variety of customer types including transit agencies, municipalities, commercial fleets, general contractors, engineering/architectural firms, etc.
Build a pipeline of sales opportunities, track the pipeline, and continuously move opportunities toward closing.
Review big packages and develop a proposal that accurately and effectively responds to the requirements of that bid package.
Attend trade shows and other industry events to network with customers and identify sales leads.
Coach customers on optimal equipment design and proper use.
Travel up to 50%
Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Two or more capital equipment sales experience required.
Technical and mechanical aptitude required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong work ethic.
Working knowledge: sufficient familiarity with the subject to know basic principles and terminology and to understand and solve simple problems.
General knowledge: sufficient knowledge of a field to perform most work in normal situationsThe work calls for comprehension of standard situations and includes knowledge of most of the significant aspects of the subject.
Environment, mostly office.
Exposures may be encountered while visiting a customer’s site, such as loud noise, or extreme heat/cold.
Essential physical requirements, including sitting and typing.
Ability to travel which may possibly require occasional work on nights or weekends.
