About the position:
Illumine inc is seeking a solar pv project engineer, with 2+ years’ experience in solar pv engineering for residential projectsTake a lead position in the preparation, review, and analysis of solar design and engineeringWork in a task-based agile environment to meet the project requirements, high volume projects and work with clients, building officials and internal teamsThis position is required to work out of illuminei’s client office and serve as a point of contact with the client.
1Create, review and modify pv system drawing sets in autocad and custom software tools
2Comply with local and national code requirements in project jurisdictions
3Work as the central point of contact with illuminei’s client and the internal design team
4Ensure smooth work movement by working closely with the client’s operations manager, install crews and illuminei’s design team
5Adhere to pv system design criteria including structural, electrical, equipment, and installation parameters
6Monitor meetings with internal stakeholders in order to maintain standardization and drive both quality and process improvements.
7Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high fluctuations in work volume during the end of the month or specific days of the month.
8Perform and track audits of design team.
9Drives safety, quality and efficiency - within the team and through designs.
10Mentor and motivate direct reports to achieve goals and objectives.
1Bachelor's or associate degree and 2 years of solar design experience required or nabcep (pv installation professional) certification and 2 years of solar design experience required.
2Expert knowledge of the national electric code required
3Expert knowledge of residential construction techniques required.
4Proficient knowledge in ms office suite, autocad
5Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
6Ability to prioritize, execute and follow up on initiatives.
Proven record of good judgment and analytical skills high attention to detail
7Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, construction, and customer facing teams; excellent oral and written communication skills.
