Director of ux/ui design, product and engineering team members, perform user research, and create other ux/ui design deliverablesWhat you’ll be doing:
Work on multiple product releases for devop products assigned by the director of ux/ui design.
Work closely with the dev design, product managers, architects and developers to improve our devop user experiences through research and application of uxd best practices.
Perform product ui audits, heuristics, and walkthroughs.
Write usability improvement reports with suggested implementation plans
Define key interaction models and workflows.
Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes using the existing product design library or stylesheets.
Present designs to the product team and be able to intelligently explain design choices based on research and uxd best practices.
Write effective user interface design specifications to help development.
Create and update existing style guides, component library and other documentation
Handoff files to developers using figma
Attend developer demos and install software to ensure designs were implemented correctly.
Advocate for ux to be added to releases with product managers.
Must haves:
2 years professional ux/ui design experience with enterprise applications
Ba/bs degree with an emphasis in hci, human factors, interaction design, or similar
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of user-centered design, ui best practices and design principles (i.eColor theory, hicks law, law of proximity, etc.)
Proven hands-on experience creating mockups, prototypes, user flows, etc.
Experience using style guides, common component libraries and sketch libraries.
Advanced knowledge of ux/ui software like figma
Experience working in waterfall development cycle and jira.
A thinker that can think through a problem and be self-reliant
Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
Well-organized and proactive with exceptional attention to detail.
Able to juggle multiple tasks and assignments at once.
Comfortable working remote while collaborating with global remote product teams at different time zones.
Excellent communicator (written and verbal).
Preferred skills:
Design experience for enterprise saas and desktop applications with data visualization.
Basic knowledge of dev ops, qa testing, or development.
Some basic html5, css3, and javascript programming experience.
