Successful candidate will assist with client relationship management and account development consulting to key iqvia not-for-profit clients through proactive and ongoing customer outreach to senior executives and managers in the client/prospect organizationsFocus on lead qualification and lead prospectingCandidate will grow revenue by identifying and closing new business opportunities utilizing the full set of iqvia offerings.
The solution sales specialist (sss) will provide pipeline/opportunity initiation/development at a strategic level for all sizes of non-profit organizationsSss serves as “conversation starter” for assigned account(s) and coordinates all go-to-market account activities and communication closely with other iqvia teams (consulting, real world networks, technology, real world solutions & services, medical affairs, etc.).
The target list of accounts will be provided in two categories: open and directedOpen accounts will consist of smaller accounts where iqvia has no existing relationships and directed accounts will be identified in consultation with the directors of strategy for each market segment (medical specialty societies and patient advocacy organizations)Manage and execute the entire end-to-end selling process, working closely with the directors of strategy (initial lead inquiry, qualification of opportunities, requirements gathering, project scope definition, proposal development, sow creation, contract negotiation and closing)
Key background required of all candidates (must have at least 3):
1Tech-heavy and or healthcare background needs to be first criteria along with the c-suite skills to maintain high credibility across target organizations.
2Must have experience collaborating with top management teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, expand the partnership, strengthen the overall relationship, and ensure consistency and alignment to create compelling pitches.
3Must have worked at c-suite/bod level of small to medium sized accounts and be able to translate concepts down into executable/actionable vision and tactics across a wide range of offerings and solutions.
4Must have a background in consultative selling and a track record of successful quota achievement.
5Must be able to show a demonstrable background in gaining intimate knowledge of the client and meeting their challenges with innovative ideas to provide end-to-end solutions.
Anticipates clients’ needs and, in collaboration with iqvia marketing, directors of strategy, consulting, technology, real world solutions/services and medical affairs originates new business opportunities and expanded partnerships.
Works with directors of strategy in assigned markets on proposal creation.
Organizing contract discussions
Maintains proposal library and helps pull content for proposals in conjunction with directors of strategy
Leads the development of account specific strategies that align operations, sales, and corporate development with that of the customer.
Participates in market research and competitive analysis activities that provide information in support of the business needs analysis process and strategic account management.
Works with director of marketing to coordinate and execute gtm and marketing strategies
Qualifications & required skills
Experience in complex data/solution architecture/enterprise it products or services (in healthcare considered a plus)
Demonstrated ability to consult at the c-suite level
Ba in business management or related field strongly encouraged but equivalent experience considered
3-5 years of experience working with patient advocacy organizations or medical specialty society preferred
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to engage c-suite level contacts, as well as develop a network of senior and middle management contacts to build long lasting trusted partnerships
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated analytical skills
Assumes personal responsibility for actions
Possesses a high degree of initiative
