Inovues is seeking an experienced and well-rounded facade engineer to join the team as the company`s lead engineerThis full-time, hybrid (remote/in-person) position will be based in the greater houston area, but a highly qualified remote applicant may be acceptable.

About the role:
This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities and continuously involves developing new skills and learning about a wide range of facade and glazing-related topicsYour responsibilities will include:
Leading all product development, testing, and r&d activities.
Providing engineering support for inovues` facade and window retrofit projects throughout all phases, from cost-benefit analysis studies to budgeting/estimation, engineering calculations, site visits/reviews, material selections, procurement, fabrication cut lists, etc.
Communicating with inovues` fabrication, installation, and engineering partners.
In this position you will work directly with the founder/cto and director of engineering, collaborate with inovues` product, sales, and project management team members and advisors, and hire consultants as needed and team members as we grow.

What we are looking for:
5-7+ years of experience in facade engineering and building envelope projects — high-rise and retrofit projects preferred.
Solid technical understanding of window and curtain wall systems, architectural glazing, and insulating glassDesign, engineering, and/or consulting experience preferred.
Understanding of architectural glass and metal systems manufacturing/fabrication is a plus.
Understanding of building science and thermal analysis concepts is preferredKnowledge of modeling building energy performance is a plus.
Working knowledge of cad software is requiredExperience calculating fenestration product performance per nfrc using lbnl software (window, therm, optics, etc) is a plus.
Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to remain flexible and agile in a constantly evolving/changing environment.
Experience working in a dynamic hyper-growth startup environment is a plus (comfortable with ambiguity).

A self-starter with the ability to work remotely and independently as well as within a distributed team.
Occasional travel for business is needed for site visits, trade shows, conferences, etc(less than 10%).
Bs or advanced degree in a related engineering field (e.g., civil, structural, architectural, mechanical).
Pe license (or working toward licensure) is preferred.
