The sales operations specialist position is essential to the sustainability and growth for imsThis role collaborates with key departments on business development and revenue building initiatives as well as conducts research on legal litigation and market trends to report to managementThis position also serves as a liaison between sales and multiple departments across ims.
Essential duties:
Provides complex litigation reports and trends to the revenue team and other key managers within the organization.
Mining data and providing reports to assist in the analysis of existing and potential new business.
Monitors new activity through daily alerts for existing court cases from various database sources, alerts client managers and consultants, and provides updates to job/case as needed.
Proactively analyzes, researches and documents detailed information through legal dockets and legal news focusing on activity within the federal and state courts, the international trade commission (itc) and other various specialized courts.
Conducts research and analyzes data on competitors and market trends.
Identifies and captures key corporate counsel litigation leaders and conveys leads to director of corp relations.
Tracks active ims matters through various tools and updates pertinent data on a regular basis.
Plays active role with inbound team which includes screening inbound opportunities and coordinating communication with appropriate team members.
Audits the integrity of company data to assure quality in our applicant tracking system and lead addition as necessary.
Supports director of sales operations on strategic business development initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
Conducts research and monitors legal news of targeted firms, notifying manager of events for client outreach.
Clears litigation conflicts and sets up appropriate jobs within the ats/crm database.
Captures and disseminates key litigation trends and intel to management and sales team.
Backs up salesops associates with answering incoming calls and vetting inbound opportunities.
Supports strategy, approach, and relationship planning for targeted top amlaw100 and 200 firms.
Docket analysis and interpretation.
Case research and reporting.
Produces key results in legal research through active use of tools and systems.
Collaborates with marketing department on revenue generating initiatives.
Retrieves documents from westlaw and monitor suite for distribution to client managers and consultants.
Captures market trends and individual firm trends in targeted practice areas.
Creates complex litigation reports for attorneys, firms, corporations, venues, and judges to disseminate to key management and department heads.
Maintains related case data and updates calendaring dates as available.
Proactively seeks to identify opportunities to increase ims saturation and utilization within amlaw 100 and 200 firms.
Requirements:
Skills and experience required:
Strong technical aptitude and ability to master various software programs and web-based software tools.
The ideal candidate displays a positive, outgoing approach to service for internal and external clients.

Education & technical requirements:
Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of business experience, preferably within a professional services firm or legal entity.
Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of experience with collecting, analyzing, and reporting complex data.
Experience with smartsheets and domo a plus.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
High proficiency with ms office 2017– specifically word, excel, powerpoint and outlook (intermediate to advanced skills required).
Knowledge of database systems and technology platforms such as westlaw, lexis, hubspot, sharpspring, dynamics, sales force, zoom, and bullhorn.
Extensive experience conducting searches via the internet required.
