Description huntington bank is looking for a datastage developer to support our finance transformation effortsThis role will be focused on financial data and regulatory reporting based on this dataDescription:
Analyze, design, and develop technical solutions based upon user specifications, in adherence with huntington standards.
Work with analysts to gather requirements, write technical design documents, test, debug, and help implement programs.
Modify existing vendor software/applications and integrates solutions with that code baseMay be required to write new code to support user and management needs.
Resolve issues in production systems and lower environments.
Ensure that various written communications, including system documentation, run books, policy documents, etc., are kept up-to-date and are available.
Contribute to the development of test plans and test scriptsPerform test execution as required.
Comply with bank policies and procedures as well as legal and regulatory requirements
Perform complex technical assignments independently, as well as, in large team settings.
Work with outside vendor representatives and technical teams that interface with our internal applications.
Provide development estimates based on project scope.
Show drive and interest in learning new systems, applications, technologies, and most importantly business domains.
Show an understanding of the industry standards and practices and the knowledge of technical industry trends as they apply to huntington.
Off hours support as needed.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be good at multitasking.
Assist our business clients as needed
Work with project teams and independently as needed
Create, maintain, and refine identified data feeds into our finance data platform
Interrogate existing sources of data
Build out of file share and loads to normalize and control data requests
Create new feeds as necessary
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Min 3 yrs of experience in an etl environment
Preferred qualifications:
Strong datastage skills
Experience with vendor packages
Experience working with vendors
Experience working with end users
Strong communication skills
Be able to work with other team members as well as independently
Strong background working with finance data
Background in regulatory reporting
