The clinical specialist, competency, will be responsible for supporting sales of healthstream’s competency solutions as the technical expertIn this role, the clinical specialist will be the liaison between the clinical sales and product teamsAs they go to person for the clinical advisers (solution executives), the clinical specialist will have a deep understanding of each of healthstream’s competency solutions and act as a cross-functional member of the sales teamThis individual will have responsibility for helping to achieve quarterly sales goals by working closely with clinical advisors on elements of the sales process, including customer-facing technical discussions and demonstrationsThe objective of this role is to become the competency expert resulting in efficient and effective internal and external communication regarding deep-level product questions.
Essential duties or responsibilities –
Acquire product expertise to provide deep level product information and thought leadership to our internal and external customers.
Closely collaborate with product management to acquire a deep understanding and knowledge of solution components, features, functionality, and benefits.
Cross-functional communication between product and sales.
Collaborate with clinical advisors to ensure field questions are accurately answered in a timely manner regarding healthstream’s competency suite of solutions.
Identify sales needs around additional product information and take ownership of broad internal communications as warranted.
Closely collaborate with product management to provide customer and sales feedback (win/loss analysis).
(co) host thought leadership webinars to help educate our customers about healthstream’s competency-based solutions.
Present and demonstrate to customers and prospects the technical aspects of our competency solutions when a deeper product evaluation is warranted to help support sales.
Participate in monthly sales team product training program to ensure clinical advisers acquire the appropriate level of product knowledge.
Contribute to healthstream’s sales product certification program for new sales hires.
AKnowledge/education and experience required:
Nursing degree, bsn level or higher, strongly preferred.
Training and support specialist experience within healthcare preferred.
A clear understanding of the importance of nurse “competency” as it relates to clinical outcomes.
Understanding of the need to offer healthcare organizations the tools to develop a competent clinical workforce that includes the development of knowledge, skills, judgment, and critical thinking.
Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly develop internal relationships with sales, product, customer success, product marketing, and leadership.
Passion to advocate for assigned solutions.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Comfortable working independently and in a team selling environment as part of an empowering, fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
Strategic mindset, strong business acumen, technical lens, and analytical approachMust love data!
Multi-task oriented; works with a sense of urgency and a desire for excellence in performance.

Ability to travel 10%-20%.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly develop relationships, both internally and externally
Familiarity with crm tools such as sales force
Must be able to create and report on data analytics using excel and powerpoint
Proficient use of ms teams/webex
