Purpose and scope:
The director of data solutions is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders and clients for the development, implementation, and troubleshooting of enterprise data and analytics solutions, software, and systemsReporting directly to the chief data officer, the data solutions director will help shape the future strategy of data and analytical capabilities and bring cutting edge solutions to our products and clientsThe data solutions director will also lead a team of bi developers and analysts to deliver actionable reporting and data warehousing capabilities.
Principal responsibilities and duties:
Plan, manage, and carry out data and analytics strategies, initiatives, programs, and solutions under the direction of the chief data officer.
Directs the operations of a team of bi developers and analysts who interface with clients and organization to meet the needs of the client organization.
Develops resource plans to achieve objectives and develop training plans to grow team of professionals.
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives with deep knowledge of the data and analytics industry and practice.
Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and acumen, able to meet directly with clients to identify objectives, measure progress, and resolve issues.
Defines and tracks key performance indicators to measure the quality of work and customer satisfaction.
Supports and proliferates a culture of high performance, data sharing, data storytelling, and collaboration.
Implements and executes on core processes pertaining to data solutions operations (incident, problem, change, capacity, knowledge & assessment management) meeting the project deliverables, feature availability, and business continuity slas with a focus on automation and efficiency.
Mentors staff members and provides leadership support to ensure they meet deadlines and objectives.
Increase the adoption of agile methodologies and partners with pmo and other functions.
Responsible for driving the hxg culture through values and customer service standards.
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts.
Develops and maintains positive relationships through effective and timely communication.
Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
Experience and required skills:
5+ years of relevant and progressive work experience in data strategy and analytics
5+ years of experience leading a data solutions or analytics/bi team
Expertise in creating and implementing best practices in data and analytics development and solutions
Knowledge of agile methodologies and proven experience leading agile teams
Strong experience with and knowledge of market leading data management, analytics, and reporting tools in the healthcare field
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or equivalent
