Responsible for simultaneously managing multiple large complex lean programs/projects across the health first integrated delivery network (idn)The outcome will be notable cost reductions, risk avoidance, and waste.
This position will be working remotely, but the associate must reside within the state of florida.
Lead cross-functional projects with internal groups and upstream vendors from a value-stream standpoint to optimize initiatives.
Track, monitor and report regularly on project status, initiative sustainability, and project savings and/or outcomes.
Support development and implementation of strategic departmental and organizational initiatives and programs.
Develop and deliver lean / six sigma training initiatives across the organization.
Create and communicate formal presentations of project work and recommendations at all levels of the organization
Work closely with leadership to coach teams on project design and implementation, performance review, and criteria for project closure and sustainability.
Serve as a change agent to drive the adoption of the lean culture for health first.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement & develop proposed improvement strategies to key stakeholders.
Lead efforts for process documentation, artifact, and process development to ensure repeatability and sustainability across the idn.
Coach and/or mentor lean process engineer(s) and associate lean process engineer(s) team members to foster high-performing teams and optimize resources to achieve project outcomes.
Education: bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, behavior science, business administration, finance, or another related degree program.
Certification: lean/six sigma green belt required
Work experience: five (5) years` experience working in a process improvement role.
Proven experience and successful track record in managing multiple large-scale projects/ initiatives simultaneously.
Demonstrate flexibility with changing requirements and quickly adapt to changing priorities, activities, and deadlines.
Superior communication, organization, and meeting facilitation skills.
Identify & improve key processes and metrics that directly impact key outcomes/goals.
Strong analytical and project management skills, including the ability to lead and execute process improvement activities of varying complexity and scope.
Effectively innovate on behalf of the customer in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
Lead/or conduct kaizen activities for continuous improvement
Education: masters’ degree in behavior science, business, industrial engineering,
Information technology (it), healthcare or related field.
Certification: lean/six sigma black belt
Work experience: experience in a health care delivery environmentThree (3) years’ experience working in a formalized process improvement office
Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping
Long periods of computer time or at workstation
Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks
Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote
May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle
