JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Co-ordinate with origin FM offices & follow up till the shipment Arrives/Sails & update the customers/HFZ timely manner with accurate information to arrange Custom clerance to avoide any detention/demurrage.
- Plan outbound shipment as per Customer’s request with contracted carriers in order to confirm the shipment is effectively handled through the company.
- Provide invoice/packing list to HFZ for inbound and outbound movements on time with accurate information as per the guide line set in SOP.
- Ensure damage reports are shared with Customer as per SOP and to maintain empty carton stock to replace damage.
- Provide required report to Customer on daily/weekly basis as per the SOP.
- Ensure Information Technology requirements of the division are monitored to avoid manual transactions and identify the necessary upgrades/updates and communicate same to immediate supervisor thereby assist the smooth work flow of the department.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
- 6 passes with 'C' for Mathematics and English at the GCE O/Levels or London O/Levels AND
- Minimum 2 passes at the GCE A/Levels OR
- Successfully completion of UGC approved A/L equivalent foundation course
- A minimum of 1 year relevant professional experience
- Excellent command language
- Extensive knowledge on MS Office Package
- Knowledge in Customs/Board of Investment/Sri Lanka Ports authority regulations would be beneficial
- Knowledge in operational and documentation regulations would be an added advantage
