Harger is seeking a candidate to serve as our new western regional field service engineer (fse).
This is a new position, that expands our existing team of fse’s to support our electrical contractor clients that self-perform lightning protection installations, designed, manufactured, and supported by hargerThis role functions as a project manager, trainer, qc/inspector and liaison between the factory and clientsExtensive travel through western north america (and occasionally overseas) is required and fse’s are typically on the road tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays on weeks they are not supporting projects in their home marketCandidate may live in any western state, close to a major airport.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Knowledge and understanding of the current nfpa 780, ul 96a and other applicable standards related to lightning protection and grounding.
Travel to work site to conduct thorough pre and post installationsProvide guidance, as necessary.
Accurately design lightning protection systems from the field when plan set information is not available.
Be present for independent third-party inspections.
Provide thorough documentation and reports of all site visits and customer interactions.
Construction professionals with project management experience, especially electrical, are encouraged to apply.
