Hagerty consulting, inc(hagerty) is a nationally recognized emergency management and homeland security consulting firm that helps clients prepare for and recover from disastersWe are seeking a full-time graphic designer with experience creating and managing print and digital collateral to join our operations team in our evanston headquartersThis position is part of a tight-knit team that provides support across all hagerty touchpoints.
This is a full-time position based out of our evanston, illinois headquartersWhile candidates can work remotely, candidates must be able to come into the office to collaborate with colleagues across the graphics and operations teamsTherefore, candidates who are local to the chicagoland region will be given preference.
What you will do
Responsibilities of this position include:
Creating compelling visual designs for promotional materials, websites, blog posts, presentations, digital trainings, print projects, and client deliverables.
Developing data visualization infographics and other graphics to communicate complex concepts.
Maintaining hagerty’s brand guidelines across our print, digital, and social spaces.
Maintaining hagerty resources, including digital content, user account access, and the hagerty website.
Supporting the development of print materials and production, to include marketing materials and proposals to current and prospective clients.
Developing documentation and tutorials as necessary.
Collaborating and communicating proactively across a large group of stakeholders, including an internal graphics team, broader operations team, and internal/external customers and clients.
Providing technical assistance on software across hagerty’s divisions.
Candidates must be comfortable interacting directly with senior managers and executivesThey should be prepared for an intense, challenging work environment and be experienced working in a team and independently.
Experience you should bring
Ideal candidates will have proven experience in visual design and content layout, as well as graphic development and digital collateral managementYou should have:
A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual design, or a related field with at least one to three (1 to 3) years of experience in a professional office environment.
Expertise with microsoft office products, especially word and powerpoint, and slack for communications.
Experience with the adobe creative suite, especially illustrator, photoshop, and indesign.
Ability to communicate and develop unique complex concepts in a visual, graphic means with acute attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Interest in expanding the understanding of certain programs, with a particular emphasis on the microsoft suite.
Interest in learning new programs.
Flexibility, integrity, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Outstanding candidates may also bring:
Experience with front-end development (html, css, javascript).
Experience with software systems, such as webflow and mailchimp.
Experience with photography, photo-editing, and/or video production.
Experience developing data visualization infographics and other graphics to communicate complex concepts.
An understanding of emergency management.
