Gridiron it is seeking to hire a fully-remote sas applications programmer with an active secret clearance.
This is a remote position, but must be located within 40 miles of a dla siteSites are located in columbus, oh, dayton, oh, richmond, va, ftBelvoir, va, new cumberland, pa, philadelphia, pa, battle creek, mi.
The applications programmer supports sas platform installation and configuration through installation/upgrades, develop customer security model, cybersecurity support, and migration knowledge transferProvide full life cycle support to capsis system platforms, baselines and software releasesReview, evaluate, resolve, and correct reported system problemsDesign,develop, test, and implement updates to the affected applicationDesign develop, test, deploy and sustain capabilities and integrate into designated software baseline.
Responsibilities
Work hands on for the installation and configuration of sas software.
Run a basic test suite of validation tests to ensure sas products are installed, configured and functioning properly.
Continuous informal knowledge transfer regarding installation, configuration, and basic solution sample tasks.
Performs pre-installation and configuration of sas 9.4 servers.
Validates all pre-installation work is completed by the client.
Perform installation and configuration of sas software stack on-site/hands on keyboard.
Perform installation and configuration of applicable server “client” application components generally on up to two (2) machines (while providing knowledge transfer to the dla so that the client and their clients may install remaining client components on their own).
Complete basic validation tests post installation and configuration.
Analyze rmf packages, and support migration knowledge transfer by developing inventory of legacy sas code, develop plan for code migration/consolidation, and work with super users for testing.
Provide full life cycle support to capsis system platforms.
Recommend and enhance/develop new or existing system interfaces between various client-server applications.
Support development of process definition, data models, and process functional requirements.

Required skills and qualifications:
Master’s degree
Must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience that is directly related to the following duties and responsibilities:
Experience as an application programmer on large-scale dbms
Knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts
Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts
Translates detailed design into computer software.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product
Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation
Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency
Provides technical direction to programmers, as required, to ensure that program deadlines are met
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Iat level ii cert: ccna security, cysa+, gicsp, gsec, security+, security+ ce, cnd, or sscp
