Greif offers a great working environment and the opportunity to make an immediate impact at a company where your ideas are always welcomeJob requisition #: 020803 global key account manager (open) job description: responsible for maintaining existing and potentially new global key accounts while coordinating efforts with the business globally and their respective sales and functional departments to achieve divisions new business goals and objectives – while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfactionKey responsibilities
Provides leadership, support, and direction to the regional key account managers and trade/local account managers.
Establishes trustworthy relationships internally and with his/her assigned global key accounts
Builds a global key account plan and works together with the business to develop a global key account strategy aligned with the business strategy
Develops and tracks value creation projects
Coordinates sales activities among the pricing team, product managers, marketing, manufacturing, sales, and greif leadership
Meets with global key accounts to promote the profitable sale of greif products.
Works with the business, marketing, product managers and other departments to develop greif’s “value propositions”, pricing strategies – then manages and implements these strategies within sales administration and sales staff.
Manages the sales analysis system to provide accurate sales data to the sales organization.
Works with the leadership and the business to insure and coordinate efforts in achieving legendary customer service.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in related fieldMaster’s degree in related field preferred.
8 plus years’ experience in sales management7 – 10 years’ experience preferably in a global b2b organization
Experience leading a team of managers and senior individual contributors, over multiple sites/locations globally.
Knowledge and skills
Possesses in-depth experience in sales, marketing, and customer service management.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
Possesses excellent time management skills.
Able to plan, direct, and manage towards future goals and objectives.
Proven skills in analytical problem-solving.
Possesses strong business acumen and a strategic focus.
Demonstrated negotiation skill
Ability to a build a global team towards achieving one global key account strategy
Be open and respectful to cultural differences
Global travel will be required
