Summary: the logistics analyst will provide expertise in equipment accountability to the c5isc product lines and be knowledgeable in the use of coast guard support databases such as fls, nesss, eal, sflc central, cgfixit, and webflis.
Duties & responsibilities:
Coordinate activities of distribution warehouse and other departments, as needed, and analyze requests to prioritize program supported requirements
Responsible for overseeing the deployment of compl materials to esd’s/cutter pl process in a conscientious and precise manner, and report on progress towards pre-defined goals to management
Determine priority and stock levels of critical parts based on historical demand, availability
Liaison with product line-item managers (im), equipment specialists, procurement teams and the asset logistics division (ald) to maintain supply chain, and report inventory health, wellness and deficiencies in a timely manner as required
Ensure the timely and accurate documentation and return of repairable mandatory turn in (mti) assets to sflc
Prepare supply and quality deficiencies report’s (sdr/qdr)
Package and ship parts in accordance with dod/dhs regulations to prevent damage in transit
Track and research overdue parts that have been shipped to either the remote stock point or to end users
Provide lateral support to material managers across additional product lines on logistical and supply chain issues
Identify lifecycle trends and provide recommendations to the product line managers
Source and research suitable substitutes and replacements for end of life or obsolete parts and equipment
Assist item manager in conducting provisioning analysis and compilation of the parts and material used for maintenance support
Receive and process orders cancellations, provide status updates and modifications, follows up on customer receipts
Assist the im with due-in and frustrated shipments
Prepare fls milstrp requisitions
Perform pr market research for various stakeholders
Process cg-4491 parts requests
Submit apl/iep requests and apl/iep support or changes
Perform apl/tech data research
Minimum qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience related to government logistics analyst, technical data management, and product line management concepts, best practices, policy, processes, and procedures.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, c5i technical discipline, or technical certification in reliability engineering, reliability analysis, electronics or information technology, or equivalent field experience.
Familiarity with government logistics lifecycle engineering processes including cg systems engineering life cycle (selc), dhs systems engineering life cycle, or iec 15288 systems engineering standard.
Familiarity with government inventory management and accounting system such as fleet logistics system (fls) naval and electronic supply support system (nesss) or commercial equivalent for c5i supply chain management, transaction level accounting, and c5i logistics.
Familiarity with sustainment engineering and maintenance planning to include performing level of repair analysis and failure trend analysis.
Be able to pass a u.sCoast guard public trust background investigation.
