Consult with users to identify and specify requirements for software applications and technical solutions in support of complex processes and business needsLead and perform advanced level system analysis, definition and design activities of a complex natureLead in maintenance of existing applicationsThis position will interact on a consistent basis with: other software developers and analysts, project managers, database administrators, customers and department managementThis position typically will advise and counsel: other software developers and analysts, project managers, database administrators, customers and department managementThis position will supervise: na.
Job duty 1 -
Analyze user requirements, determine technical level of effort estimates, prepare technical design and specifications

Analyze, modify and maintain existing applications; recommend alternative solutions, as appropriate

Develop, test and implement technical solutions; prepare application test plans and conduct unit, integration and system testing

Monitor project scheduling and all project tracking control systems

Prepare technical, operational and user related documentation in support of applications

Provide technical support to functional users, determining and solving systems and programming issues; coordinate communications with vendors when appropriate for problem resolution

Bachelor`s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Six to eight years of job related experience
Additional preferred qualifications
University experience, application security methodologies, service oriented architecture
Preferred educational qualifications
Full stack development
Data analysis of large sets of data
Project management & execution
Server administration & monitoring: linux rhel
Php (drupal cms, miscellaneous frameworks)
Agile sdlc, ci/cd, devops, itsm, itil, and pmp best practices
Tools: github, servicenow, jira, zapier
Systems integration and data exchange using etl and integration tools (like zapier, mulesoft, and microsoft power automate)
Managing cloud website hosting platforms (pantheon, azure, aws)
Incorporates strict application security methodologies into daily routine
University employment experience
Knowledge, skills, & abilities
This job requires advanced expertise in application of query language, web development tools, procedural development tools, relational databases, structured programming and understanding of the software development life cycleAlso required are skills in providing technical work direction.
