Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains elearning courses from approved storyboards.
Edits graphics, creates new graphics, copies in content to pages, creates audio using text-to-speech tools, synchronizes audio with visuals, creates simple animations, and videos.
Develops multimedia interactions, knowledge checks, creates simple scripts, and trouble shoots development issues.
Implements 508 standards into the elearning product and fixes 508 issues.
Remains current on web development and multimedia software tools, presentation styles, and development trends.
Works with instructional designers to select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as web-based training, webinars, instructor led training, or online videos
Adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines
Brings new ideas to the table for developing elearning products and feels comfortable sharing ideas with other team members.
Skills required:
Ba/bs in, graphic design, computer graphics, computer science, instructional development, digital media, or a related field
0-1 year of related work experience
Excellent troubleshooting skills to fix logic and software challenges
Web development coding skills to include css, javascript, and html 5
Visual design skills to modify existing graphics and create new ones
Proficient in adobe cloud software, specifically photoshop, illustrator, and dreamweaver
Knowledge of section 508 requirements, and application to product development
Willingness to learn new products, and apply best practices
Comfortable working on a distributed team, while working remotely
Good organization skills for keeping track of the tasks that have been assigned and the time frames they need to be completed in
Good communication skills for updating team members on progress and asking for help when needed
Must be “clearable,” meaning they are able to obtain a clearance.
Skills desired:
Experience with articulate 360 or other elearning development tools
Experience working with lmss
Experience with after effects, animator
Familiarity with text-to-speech tools
Knowledge of good useability standards and user interface design
Good writing and documentation skills
