Be responsible for the southeast region, which includes the states of: georgia, tennessee, florida, alabama, mississippi and parts of louisiana and arkansas.
Be responsible for $45 - 100 million dollars in sales within a multi-state geographic region, meet or exceed profitable sales growth and market penetration expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage the 8 - 10 person sales team that sells power transmission and fluid power products and services to end users and industrial accounts.
Accountable for all industrial market segment sales through distribution and original equipment channels.
Focus on people development and increasing market share in focus end market segments.
Report to the vice president - sales, industrial replacement & services.
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
Developing strategic plan for the region and holding sales associates accountable for achieving results by tracking activities and business wins and losses in crm.
Reporting sales and goal progress to executive management level and reporting industry and market specific trends as well as customer feedback to improve processes.
Traveling extensively within the region and developing deep relationships with customers and management level contacts.
Providing advice and assistance to the corporate management level in industrial replacement & services.
Recruiting and retaining top talent within the region and making people development a top priority in building the regional team.
Communicating at a corporate management level with distribution, end users, and industrial manufacturers for power transmission and fluid power channels.
Leading strategic and tactical planning, goal setting, sales budgets, market analysis, forecasting and expense allocation for regional team.
Managing business planning, plan execution, crm activity tracking, and new account set up approval in assigned region.
Directing and coordinating the efforts of sales personnel toward the accomplishment of objectives while improving the organization`s competitive position.
About you required:
11+ years of professional work experience
Proven ability to drive sales and growth within the division through a thorough understanding of profit/loss including costing, pricing, fixed and variable overheads
Leadership skills with a proven track record in managing sales and cross functional teams
Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop talent within the region
Effective communication to build trust and credibility with both internal associates and customer management
Ability to understand, develop and utilize analytics
Experience with the microsoft office suite
Travel required for this position will be between 50-60%
Must be legally authorized to work in the united states without company sponsorship
5+ years of relevant management experience
Knowledge of power transmission or fluid power products
Oracle sales cloud experience
