The senior security consultant is an experienced, accredited cybersecurity expert supporting gtt’s sales, solutions architecture, and marketing organizations throughout the americasFrom a sales and solutions perspective, he or she operates as a security-specific overlay/extension to the solutions architects, engaging with cybersecurity engineers and/or leadership of clients and prospects, providing expert solutions consulting and guidance, and validating complex security solution architectures and designsFrom a marketing perspective, he or she evangelizes gtt’s security portfolio and capabilities to prospects and partnersGtt employee values - the ideal candidate would be used to working a way that is consistent with gtt’s employee values:

Duties and responsibilities:
Become a trusted authority and subject matter expert (sme) on gtt’s security portfolio and managed services capabilities
Significantly enhance the knowledge, experience, and credibility of the solutions architecture team in security related sales engagements, particularly with highly knowledgeable technical audiences
Serve as gtt’s security evangelist to the marketplace (e.g., through speaking engagements at industry events, authoring white papers and blogs, etc.)
Provide expert-level consulting, solution designs, and architectural validation of gtt security products and services
Present complex security solutions and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences and be able to adapt as required when presenting
Assist solutions architects when collaborating with customers to discover security requirements and answer detailed security questions.
Assist solutions architects with security specific rfi/rfp technical responses
Carry out other responsibilities as needed and assigned
Travel to customer or event locations as required
Qualifications & competencies:
At least 10 years of professional experience in network and information security, including relevant industry certifications (cissp, cisa, ceh or similar)
At least 5 years of experience providing technical security consultancy and/or supporting sales
Extensive experience with leading security equipment providers such as cisco, fortinet, and/or palo alto (vendor certifications are a plus)
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, facilitation and presentation techniques
Expert-level understanding of the cybersecurity industry and trends
Fluent in all components of modern security architecture including sase, ngfw, ddos mitigation, dlp, casb, siem, soar, ztna etc.
Solid understanding of wan and lan data networks, including ethernet, tcp/ip, network design, switching, routing and routing protocols, mpls, sd-wan, and secure ip networking technologies including ipsec, ssl/tls, pki, ldap and vpns.
Broad understanding of modern hybrid it architectures, private/public cloud computing and storage, work from home environments, server and network function virtualization, sdn, iaas, paas, and saas
Experience leading discussion or training for large groups of audience members, both internal and external customer and partners
Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
Hours/travel/shift:
40+ hours/week salaried + commissions.
Travel ~ 20% (customer sites and event locations)
