The broadband reporting systems & analytics team is looking for a highly skilled and passionate software engineer.
Reporting to the engineering manager, this person will drive the development, design, and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting systems (nmars) developed by the team.
The team is a small organization reporting to the network performance management (npm) organization of frontier communicationsPrimarily responsible for collection and development of network health reporting tools used throughout the company.
What you’ll do:
Majority of the time is expected to be spent developing new features; working with other teams to collect requirements and provide direction on the usage of the tools.
Maintaining and documenting developed features.
Provide technical leadership guidance to other members of the npm organization.
Supports network operations, engineering, and other groups as neededSupports regional teams in process enhancement, systems troubles, and troubleshooting.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent working experience demonstrating the specific skills needed for the job
4+ years of php coding experience is required
Laravel php framework experience is required
Knowledge of database scripting and knowledge of oracle and mysql
Coding experience with at least one of the following: javascript, css, html, sql
Thorough understanding of the various aspects of the software development life cycle (sdlc)
Knowledge of data and/or voice networks, network equipment, and analysis tools
Knowledge in the analysis of traffic data generated in both access and aggregation networks
Knowledge in systems, data integration, and server administration (web and database)
