The regional territory sales manager is a critical position for cornelius signage, a division of forms+surfacesThis position is our primary interface to develop new business, solicit new projects and sales, and interface with the client to determine needs, scope, timeline, and all other pertinent information related to the sale.
This person must develop strong relationships through personal attention and management of client expectations while also meeting cornelius’s objectives through a focused effort to meet client needs while understanding how they interface with internal capacity and capabilitiesIt is also to develop signage business within the hospitality industry allowing us to create a diversification of markets.
Role and responsibilities:
Manage sales, promotions, collections, and other activities to achieve sales goals
Build positive working relationships with existing clients for repeat businessIdentify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities.
Coordinate with sales team to plan promotional activities, trade shows, and special events.
Understand client needs and provide appropriate sales solutionsAddress client issues and inquiries in a timely mannerThis person must have the ability to identify local codes and regulations and understand their impact on our product and the ability to meet client needs.
Ability to read and understand floor plans, contracts, proposals, and reports to communicate with architects, designers, developers, and buyers in the industry.
Develop sales presentations for customers and managementStrategize with sales team members to maximize sales growth nationally.
Communicate with internal quoting, design/planning, production, and sales teams to manage client needsParticipate in sales conferences, industry meetings, and social networks to represent the company’s brandTrain and guide new candidates in their job responsibilities.
This person must be knowledgeable about signage products (or ff&e), services.
Utilize web, tm, lead retrievals, and tradeshows to maximize customer base.
Provide timelines and priorities to projects and assist in quote team schedules.
7-10 years of experience in custom architectural signage sales
Willingness to travel for site surveys, meeting with clients, etc- travel up to 50%
Education - engineering or technical preferred
Outgoing personality, good verbal and written communication skills
Remote position - but more interested in those located in the mid-west / southeast
Exceptional negotiation skills
Ability to build effective relationships, whether internally or externally
Possess effective presentation skills
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
Strong ability to use the computer and business-related applications.
