Formative is seeking regional sales managers to join our rapidly growing sales team representing the western united states.
Regional sales managers will be assigned the western sales region and be responsible for selling, hiring, developing and leading a high-performing team to meet and exceed sales goalsIf mentoring and developing salespeople in a results-driven, team environment is your passion, we’d like to meet you!
Our web-app, formative (formative.com), is used by 50k+ teachers and 1m+ students every week, helping teachers see student responses in real-time for immediate feedback and tracking growth to learning standards.
Increase sales and contribute to formative’s long-term business growth by:
Hiring, leading, coaching, mentoring, selling and developing a regional sales team that will grow to five+ account executives to achieve or exceed revenue and customer growth targets; fostering a successful and positive team environment
Creating and executing a comprehensive and integrated territory plan that aligns with formative’s go-to-market strategy
Player-coach, using a hands-on approach with the sales team to help define, drive, and deliver results
Analyzing market dynamics in an effort to maximize existing successes and creating new sales growth opportunities
Educating team on significant industry factors including competitive products, regulations, trends, customer needs, and pricing
Optimizing the use of hubspot and other tools to manage the sales process and providing accurate and timely forecasts and team metrics
Helping your team to see challenges and change as opportunities for growth and development
Improving sales productivity by removing roadblocks and barriers for yourself and for your team
Partnering with customer success and internal stakeholders to advise customers and deliver successful implementations and integrations
Adapting and changing with evolving priorities and business initiatives
This is a salary + incentive-based compensation role.
Three years prior experience in a professional customer-facing technology sales leadership role
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives (revenue targets, pipeline targets, etc.) and a willingness to to “roll up your sleeves” and sell
Proven team leadership ability to build and lead a remote team, promote high standards and quickly establish team’s focus in the face of challenges or competing priorities
Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations; ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
Knowledge of how to effectively leverage crm software
Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiation skills
Ability to deliver engaging presentations
Software sales or sales of educational materials experience is a plus
Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced sales environment
Travel to districts is required and subject to the company`s vaccination policy to promote safety for all
