Job description summary:
Under the direction of the associate director of it planning & development, the pmo business analyst will assist in bridging the gap between company technologist (i.t.) and the business by evaluating business processes, help to look for ways to make improvements and deliver better business recommendations to stakeholders in alignment with the organizations business objectives.
The ba must:
Possess the confidence and skills to meet with company leadership and stakeholders.
Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business and clinical needs.
Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications.
Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business and clinical needs; create business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocol/standards
Ensure that both functional and non-functional requirements are captured and transformed into meaningful business requirements.
Provide the project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during the gathering of requirements.
Be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Leverage the appropriate technical resources.
Critically evaluate information from various sources.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ensure business solutions are in line with the customers’ requirements.
Develop and execute project presentations.
Participate in special projects as required.
Participate in request for proposal (rfp) processes.
Develop informative, coherent and usable documentation.
Build data visualizations to convey project findings.
Stay up-to-date on the latest process and it advancements.
Be a strong communicator in a virtual setting (via conference calls or web meetings)
Strong organizational and project management skillsThis position will be working on multiple projects and with multiple customers concurrently
Position qualifications/requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science plus five (5) years of relevant experience -or- a combination of education and experience appropriate for the role
Certifications/licenses:
Valid state driver’s license for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetingsCompliance with the company driver safety operations and motor vehicle records check policy is required.
Previous experience
Required experience includes professional healthcare experience, medical research or scientific - clinical oncology preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records/electronic health records (emr/ehr), medical billing (centricity or similar), aria, scc soft, or similar medical, radiology, radiation and laboratory systems a plus.
History of leading and supporting successful projects.
Track record of following through on commitments.
