Role overview the senior engineer, vehicle attribute, performance, efficiency, & drivability is a key position within the vehicle engineering organization and will report directly to the senior manager, vehicle attributesThe senior engineer, vehicle attribute will serve as a key part of the attributes team for energy management, performance, range, and drive quality for fisker productsDuties and responsibilities
Provide technical guidance and support to design engineers to optimize ev efficiency, performance, range, and drive quality.
Help generate, develop, and validate performance and efficiency improvement features.
Work with engineering, suppliers, and program management to execute efficient, balanced designs.
Work with internal and external teams to define and verify vehicle level charging performance for multiple charging standards.
Evaluate driver experience and drive quality strategy.
Manage suppliers to ensure successful outcomes for targets and meeting program timing.
Track and report component, system, and whole vehicle efficiency status.
Identify and develop creative solutions to resolve cost, performance, and mass conflicts.
Innovate, develop, and improve processes.
Interpret simulation and test results, propose recommendations for improvement and their impact on other attributes.
Document and present findings to cross-functional teams and engineering management.
Support vehicle milestones attribute inputs at each project phase.
Become the ped attributes single / key point of contact for the program team.
Bachelor of science in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical disciplineMaster of science is preferred.
5 to 8 years of experience in automotive product development, with focus on ev energy management, performance, range, and drive quality for multiple markets.
Proven track record of defining, managing, and delivering system and vehicle level targets on multiple programs.
Performance, drivability, and economy testing experience (epa, wltp), including instrumentation, data acquisition, and data processing (avl drive, vbox, etc.).
Strong understanding of competitor vehicle platforms and efficiency enabling technologies / strategies.
Good understanding of vehicle development cycle and customer feedback on multiple programs.
Experience with interpreting customer quality data (e.g., jd power).
Experience with competitor vehicle benchmarking (physical and web-based).
Familiarity with the premium automotive sector, preferably with ev products and features.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in microsoft office (outlook, teams, word, excel, powerpoint, project).
Good understanding of vehicle simulation software (e.g., gt suite, avl cruise, amesim) would be an advantage.
