Role overview at the heart of fisker’s visionary product lies a state-of-the-art powertrain and thermal system – and you can play a central role in its delivery.
The senior engineer, powertrain systems integration will ensure that powertrain components communicate safely and effectively and will manage the torque path and diagnostics delivery of the primary powertrain control ecu.
Fisker is a fast-moving technologically focused startup, and in this context, you will need considerable flexibility and adaptability to deal with the rapidly developing requirements at the leading edge of ev thermal and powertrain implementationDuties and responsibilities
Develop electric vehicle powertrain system level requirements, including charging control, drive mode control, torque path, thermal control, power mode control, etc.
Decompose the powertrain system level requirements into component level requirements for the powertrain supervisory control module.
Develop stateflows and sequence diagrams for the different functions in the powertrain system.
Develop test cases for the different requirements in the vehicle powertrain domain and the powertrain domain controller.
Troubleshoot and debug powertrain system functions and propose solutions.
Develop simulation models and analytical tools as needed.
Required qualifications
Bachelor of science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical disciplineMaster of science is preferred.
5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in hv powertrain systems in the automotive industry.
Experience in requirements definition for automotive ev powertrain.
Experience in requirements management software tools, such as doors, polarion, and jama.
Thorough knowledge of automotive powertrain functional control, including software (sw) structure and development, from requirements derivation to software validation.
Familiarity with functional safety standards (iso-26262).
Familiarity with powertrain diagnostics implementation.
Strong experience in supplier selection and management.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in microsoft office (outlook, teams, word, excel, powerpoint, project).

Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.
Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends where needed to meet deadlines and company goals.
