Job summary
Define business processes and information systems alignmentManage implementation of short-term, high-priority projectsKey contributor to long-term strategic projectsLiaison between division management, the user community and technical applications development staff (may include offshore staff)Perform analysis of business requirements and translate into system definitions and recommended solutionsPerform analysis of raw financial and system-related data to answer specific business and technical questionsAnalyze system problems and drive resolution to ensure customer processes run smoothlyDocument business processes, help develop training procedures and standard operating proceduresImplement system alignment with business processes.
Essential functions
Perform and document analysis of current business processes to define business requirements.
Perform and document analysis of future state business processes including user and information system roles.
Perform and document requirements analysis to ensure system and application compliance with information security policies and standards.
Participate in security vulnerability tracking and remediation in production systems and applications.
Liaison with information security teams to assess application features required to integrate with security architecture components.
Recommend user roles and application solutions supporting a complete business process.
Develop proposals for application enhancements including high-level design, documentation, testing and training.
Liaison with application developers and technical analysts to respond to business process questions raised during code development
Assist with problem resolution in production systems, follow established procedures for problem escalation.
Participate in information system audit activities and remediation of audit observations
Knowledge and skills/technology used
Strong written and oral communication skills to identify business and technical requirements and lead teams to meet specific project goals.
Excellent planning, organizational and analysis skills.
Understands and communicates the business impact of technology solutions deployed to the current business environment.
Quickly gains solid working knowledge of standard features and functions of multiple complex systems and applications to facilitate analysis and problem resolution.
Identifies problems, researches alternatives, prepares/delivers presentations, drives solutions, tests to confirm, gains consensus, and implements solutions for multiple applications.
Must be strongly proficient with ms office suiteAbility to analyze raw financial and technical data extracts using excel, including development of macros for repeat work.
Typical range of experience
Minimum of 4 years of directly related experience in information systems development, is procurement, is administration or enterprise business system implementation
Relevant experience with business process re-engineering and change management planning and implementation for legacy system replacement
Experience performing requirements analysis, implementation planning and roll out of enterprise accounting or financial reporting systems highly desirable
Experience with commercial escrow operations, title search and/or underwriting highly desirable
Internal audit and/or information security experience highly desirable
Typical education
Minimally requires bs degree with concentration(s) in one or more of business, accounting, finance or information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Mba or graduate degree in business, accounting, finance or information systems strongly preferred
