Position overview:
With oversight, support the design, development, testing, and deployment of web applications for desktop/laptop pcs, server computers, rest/soap services, web apis, and/or mobile devices for fedex freightCreate visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly, intuitive design with clear navigation.
Essential job duties/responsibilities:
1Participate in the identification and development of decision support web application solutions that optimize, measure, track, and support improved business performance
2Perform development activities using standard web technologies (i.e., html5, javascript, and css3) that work across multiple device platforms
3Use back-end programming languages (e.g., asp, java, c#, mvc, mvvm etc.) in addition to the front-end scripting languages (html5, javascript, css3) to optimize performance, security, and scalability
4With direction, develop programs to transmit information between the web application front-end, modeling & analytic models, and applicable back-end databases
5Collaborate with systems development and operations research teams to integrate optimization modeling and predictive analytic capabilities into web application environment
6Coordinate with end-users, project stakeholders, and support partners to identify needs, goals, and business objectives
7Research and analysis of current and trending technology, reports and tools that support business challenges
8Perform testing to identify early application flaws and participate in design and code reviews
9Participate in maintenance, application loads, and troubleshooting as necessary
10Recommend procedure standards to ensure application design and coding is produced with proper integrity, security and performance
11Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
12Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business information systems, computer science or other quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years’ experience in web application development with a preference in optimization solutions
Experience with front-end scripting languages (html5, javascript, css3) and back-end programming languages (e.g., asp, java, c#, mvc, mvvm, etc.)
Experience with relational database systems (e.gMs sql server, oracle, db2, teradata, etc.)
Understanding of ui, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
Good computer skills (excel, outlook, word, powerpoint)
Analytical, problem solving, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Working conditions:
Must be able to travel
