Fis is looking for a globally experienced accounting professional with a niche for technology.
About the team:
Fis insurance risk and accounting suite (formerly prophet and enterprise accounting system) is an integrated suite of actuarial and accounting systems used primarily by insurance companies to perform actuarial calculations and record accounting transactions.
Note: this role can be worked remotely from anywhere in north america
General duties & responsibilities
The following key objectives and outcomes are integral to the position
Successfully deliver the insurance accounting suite product as an ifrs 17 subledger platform, integrated with upstream insurance risk suite actuarial risk and data repository systems and downstream general ledger systemsThis includes configuring chart of accounts, regulatory reporting, and reconciliation of source systems specific to ifrs 17.
Project manage an opportunity from start to finishBe fully engaged and take the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to own a topic, bring the right people together, take actions and lead the delivery.
Face new challenges and situations, provide concrete illustrations of your engagement and ability to anticipate, be proactive, take initiative, qualify a problem or challenge and come with (creative) solutions.
Deliver services and projects within the constraints set by the contractEngage with the client’s business, manage client relationships effectively and improve overall client satisfaction generating positive client feedback, evaluations, referrals or references.
Deliver against your own and the overall team and division revenue, utilization, and chargeability (client billable hours) targets.
Capitalize on the engagement, your expertise and fis offerings to generate new revenue opportunities, liaising with our presales and sales team to help fully qualify them.
Be active with the development and growth of the products, professional service catalog (building new services, improving existing ones) and toolkits.

Education requirements
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
General knowledge, skills & abilities
Minimum of three years of experience in insurance accounting with specific exposure to variety of regulatory reporting; knowledge of ifrs 17: insurance contracts is a plus.
Demonstrated experience of insurance it project implementation.
Minimum of three years of experience in project management, implementing, configuring and supporting software solutions.
Minimum of three years of experience in client facing positions consulting and advising medium to large global clients.
Ability to engage various internal or external stakeholders at various hierarchical level.
Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats.
Proficient in microsoft office tools.
Knowledge of actuarial modelling, sql database architecture, and financial system administration are a plus.
Ability to present to and train key resources of a client.
Previous international travel and experience with global team a plus.
Preferred qualifications:
Certified public accountant (or other country equivalent) is a plus
Fluent in spanish is a plus
