Position summary: this position assumes responsibility for managing services sales for a predetermined segment of existing fathom accounts, handling incoming opportunities efficiently and professionally while also conducting outgoing sales activities via phone and emailIsrs are chiefly responsible for managing in-house 3d printing orders through our e-commerce platform and functioning as primary point-of-contact, creating and sending customer quotes, and following up to close and process orders.

Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals as defined by management
Manage specific accounts through fathom’s ecommerce platform to drive incremental revenue and utilization of fathom technology capacity
Conduct planned warm-call campaigns regularly to ensure consistent pipeline of orders from assigned accounts
Regularly review independent pipeline-building activities with inside sales management
Conduct additional existing-customer outreach as directed by inside sales management or marketing department
Foster customer relationships; ensure successful transactions with existing fathom customers, and vet/filter customer requests for escalation to other fathom teams when appropriate
Pre-sales support; answer questions about our services/capabilities via phone, email or face to face, for assigned accounts as well as other accounts as necessary
Process quotes and orders: review and approve cad files for printing, collect payment and shipping information to submit orders
Act as liaison to production team: communicate with production regarding orders and status updates
Foster customer relationships: ensure successful transactions with fathom customers, and work closely with the sales team on general account maintenance to manage customer expectations
Collaborate with team members for best strategy, cost, mechanical design, manufacturing and quality solutions; engage in independent learning and training to improve job performance
Strive to become the customers’ consultative, trusted advisor and go-to source of 3d printing and advanced fabrication needs, for prototyping and production applications
Balance time between short-cycle sales activity to close ‘hot’ orders quickly, and longer-term nurturing of customers to set up high-value revenue opportunities – with a strong focus on short-cycle, day-to-day selling
Hold to monthly sales commitments determined by management, and supported with daily coaching and guidance

Expected hours of work
Remote/hybrid: core days and hours of work are based upon monday through friday, 8:00 a.mTo 5 p.mWhen required to be onsite, punctual and regular attendance is essential.
No travel is expected for this positionPreferred/required education and experience
High school diploma or bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or business discipline, and
1+ years of demonstrated success in a similar role in tech industry, and
Preferred experience with salesforce, cad and excel is a plus, but not required, and
Strong technical knowledge of 3d printing is highly desirable, or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
