The sunsetting project manager, product management will serve as the primary point of contact on all application sunsetting effortsThe project lead will: 1) exemplify a positive and professional “client experience” and engage the “love the customer” philosophy, 2) successfully manage assigned application sunsetting projects, and 3) work with teams across the organization to develop and execute sunsetting effortsThe successful candidate must have the project leadership and professional background in the electronic discovery industryAbove all, the project lead has a strong track record of service delivery and service orientation.
Takes ownership of all legacy application sunsetting projects, actively managing ~4-8 applications at a time.
Defines a sunsetting project plan for each application that will encompass project requirements and milestones, from initial scoping through application sunsetting and hardware decommissioning.
Identifies key resources across the organization for each application with the historical knowledge needed to successfully sunset the application.
Works with key resources to scope and triage current activity for each application.
Coordinates activities of key resources to ensure progress towards project milestones.
Ensures team members are appropriately instructed on project requirements.
Works with team members to establish best practices for migrating and/or deleting client data.
Utilizes data deletion decision tree to confirm disposition of client data and determine whether to archive, delete, or migrate the data.
Collaborates with technology and development teams as needed to assist with efficiently migrating client data to a new application, and/or with archiving/deleting client data.
Partners with ilm team to ensure alignment with data deletion protocols.
Ensures that project requirements and milestones are being met by meeting on a regular basis with internal stakeholders.
Consistently delivers proactive communication with internal stakeholders and serves as initial point of escalation when necessary.
Client focus – engages with the clients, both internal and external, and their needs as a primary focus; builds a sustaining collaborative and productive relationship with clients; seeks to understand client situations, issues, expectations, etc.; takes appropriate action to meet client needs and address concerns; implements or utilizes methods to monitor and evaluate client feedback; appropriately meets client needs without jeopardizing business outcomes or results.

Consultative approach – shares expertise to support decision making and strategic planning; provides useful information that supports the decision making process; takes an active role in influencing key stakeholders involved in critical decisions; acts as a trusted and respected advisor by providing accurate, valid information and insights.
Project management – serve as a leader and primary source of expertise and knowledge pertaining to technology and processes; shares the expertise internally to ensure successful project management of projects.
Required qualifications & characteristics
A deep understanding of ediscovery and the litigation support industry which is typically a result of at least five to seven (5 - 7) years in relevant positions with law firms, corporate legal departments or ediscovery service providers.
Ability to analyze data from different sources in microsoft excelVlookup and other functions necessary to correlate data in order to drive next project steps.
Proven leadership skills which help to motivate team members.
Demonstrated success in the management of multiple simultaneous projects.
Oral and written communication skills which provide a strong and confident executive presence.
Excellent client relationship skills which include the able to proactively manage client expectations, recognize client needs and adapt company capabilities to consistently meet client requirements.
A solid understanding of database design and management, data processing activities and legal document review requirements.
Demonstrated ability in each of the following areas: ensure effective control of all aspects of a project from initial planning through completion; direct multiple project teams across applications while ensuring the completion of all work; oversee development of project plans.

A bachelor’s (ba) degreeA juris doctorate (jd) degree, masters of business administration (mba) or similar advanced degress a plus;
