The role will collaborate with all technical and business stakeholders to manage and implement software releases into hosting environments; it’s critical to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our hosting environments and helps prevent and reduce risk for our internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Monitoring and promptly rectifying any issues with releases or any systems
Identifying technical problems and developing “fixes” to ensure that quality and integrity of code is maintained through the process
Maintaining and updating technical documentation and manuals
Key requirements
Minimum and essential qualifications, experience and technical expertise required to complete role:
1-3 years experience in an it related field
Must have a solid understanding of web application deployments release management processes, have a tool driven mindset and be a creative problem solver with a “quality first – check and balance” mentality
Proficiency in specifying and implementing testing and production environment infrastructure
Experience with automated testing: including how to set up automated testing, how to script automated regression test suites, and how to troubleshoot automated testing issues
Experience with version control platforms and built automation tools like apache maven and jenkins
Experience with automation and configuration tools, such as puppet, ansible
Experience with programming languages like python, java, or powershell
Knowledge of modern networking and cloud connectivity security principles
Knowledge of system level and integration level testing
