Position overview
We are seeking professionals that are industry leaders and seasoned experts, representing top talent across disciplines including engineers, architects, planning and scheduling specialists, project managers, technologists and strategic communications professionalsThe product lifecycle team offers an array of services focused on improving the lifecycle value for critical capital assetsIn addition to partnering with our clients to transform their approach to alm, our goal is to provide services for industry best practices and technology solutions to improve every aspect of the asset management lifecycle.
As a principal solution architect, you are part of the professional solution team where you provide support and innovative technical expertise for projects throughout the project lifecycle (including implementation /installation, configuration, testing, training delivery, deployment, production support)Provide regular status reports for updating the customer to support the management of customer technical and process expectationsWorks on projects/assignments of advanced to complex scopeWorks independently on routine assignment/projects and new assignment/projects.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Maintain effective relationships with internal customers and technical peers to support effective delivery
Work with pre-sales and account managers on opportunities.
Provide information and feedback to internal customers in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner, as required by defined project activities, ensuring that key messages are communicated effectively
Design and develop the context of the project, its key deliverables and engagement model.
Design and develop assigned project tasks and the delivery to the work stream
Provide accurate and timely information to technical team lead or project management team as required
As required, contribute to the generation of the relevant level of project documentation in line with project management methodology
Responsible for successful quality and phase gate reviews
Responsible for successful review of technical implementation experiences with project delivery team, capturing and sharing lessons learned as part of the project review and close activities
Responsible for social commentary and share experiences to support organizations knowledge sharing initiatives
Develop/maintain an understanding of latest technical and industry trends.
Keep up to date with best practices and methods within own area of specialism, and apply these in everyday role
Knowledge/ skill requirements
Successfully completed required training on business, compliance & ethical guidelines/standards and has applied these in own role
Can explain the importance and value of business standards, compliance & ethics, and can explain how it supports customer and business success.
Can explain the main components of technical consulting, how they relate to each other and why they are important to the company`s success
Design and develop complex technical consulting standards and processes, and applies these in own role
Design and develop key components of multiple product sets, how they relate to each other, their main features, functions and business benefits.
Able to undertake complex user tasks in the software
Understand the industry processes and manufacturing concepts related to the product
Preferred product knowledge in teamcenter or teamcenter capital asset lifecycle management (calm)
Recommended qualifications
Experience
Several years of proven experience in plant engineering working for owner operators, epcs, or service providers.
Experienced in the use and administration of aveva software: e3d design, pdms, diagrams and/or engineering.
Ideally 15+ years of experience in capital projects and infrastructure, asset management, systems engineering, or a related profession
Industry experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, chemicals, or energy & utilities
Technical leadership skills and capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external customers.
Ability to obtain and meet business goals and results.
Ability to work independently, as well as on a team.
Proficient with ms office applications, such as word, powerpoint, excel, etc.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
Education:
Bachelor`s degree in industrial engineering, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, technology or equivalent years of experience (10+)
Certified pmp is highly preferred.
