Legal assistant The legal assistant is responsible for support of the legal, contracting, and request for proposal (rfp) activities within the legal functions of the companyThis position has no direct reports.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Liaise between members of the legal department and other constituents, including request for proposal (rfp), sales, finance, and client service departments Act as point person for contract status Administer contract 360 database and contract work flows Produce first drafts of pbm agreements Administer access rights to compliance 360 contract databases Obtain all proper signatures for contracts via docusign or otherwise Maintain company contract files Distribute and manage envision standard forms as requested, including but not limited to third party access to client information, non-disclosure agreements (ndas), and business associate agreements (baas) Sort and distribute all department mail and faxes Participate in special projects requiring collection and analysis of company data Prioritize and address requests from other departments and external entities Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or ged Demonstrated relevant industry, healthcare, insurance or pbm experience Strong data analysis and presentation skills Ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills A decisive individual who possesses a detail oriented perspective Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus Ability to work with peers in a team effort Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment Proficient in microsoft office and industry related software programs Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands
Work environment: Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Physical requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
